Rochon was born in Torrance. She was born to Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) as well as Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Cerritos was her primary high school. Ullerup was part of the cast as Julia Brynn, a character in the remake series Battlestar Galactica that aired 2006 on Sci Fi Channel. The character she played, Ashley Magnus, was written out of Sanctuary's first and second season. The fans were furious over the departure of her character, and many would like to see her back for future episodes. Sanctuary ended 2012 but not before there was a heated discussion. Ullerup appeared as Bree O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was played by Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas his estranged spouse in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Ullerup regularly appears in the role of Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered series of films, which began in the year 2016.
