Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook shows easy to master techniques, as well as her famous spikey blonde locks. Chef Burrell has also worked at various top eateries in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for culinary arts and food at the age of a child. Following her graduation with an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful learning experience for me. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. Chef Burrell was a graduate of The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy completed a one-year stint in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef gained an understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy that has informed her cooking style. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children who are facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. In her role as a speaker, Burrell is on the road to share her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne says during her career in the kitchen that she's grateful to have the opportunity to share with others what is really important for her.
