Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actress
from the United States. Her roles include daytime television and episodic guest
performances and television-friendly films. Sofer received an Daytime Emmy
Award in 1995 in her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap show General Hospital.
Since 2013, she has played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and The
Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and
Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
until the time of the divorce of her parentsSofer moved with her father and
brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. They lived in Western
Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge,
Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later
attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school
in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen where her father was the
rabbi at synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High
School in 1998, she continued her education at Montclair State College. Sofer
first played Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance was
in 1993 as the manager of an ensemble. Her first appearance on television was
that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosts. Sofer is perhaps best known for
her character Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15, 1993 - September
24 1996). Later, she was guest star (February 7-17 September 30, 1997 - October
2, 1997). Her portrayal of the outrageous Lois has earned Sofer an award in the
form of a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama
Series. Sofer was asked to join CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful in the
role she had just created in the role of Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired
on July 12. Sofer has appeared as a support cast member/guest star in a number
of top-rated primetime television series, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place.
The premiere episode debuted on July 12.
